Preposition (सम्बन्ध सूचक अव्यय)
Indeclinable words that come with a noun or pronoun reveal their relationship to other words in the sentence. They are called prepositions.
वे अविकारी शब्द जो वाक्य नें संज्ञा और सर्वनाम के साथ आ कर उनका संबंध वाक्य के अन्य शब्दों से बनाते हैं ,संबंध बोधक अव्यय कहलाते है।

1. Simple Preposition
Simple preposition describes location,time,and place in the sentences.
at, by, for, for, in, out, through, till, to, up, with these all words are example of simple preposition.
Example
Table is by the chair
(मेज कुर्सी के बाजू में है)
Water is in the glass
गिलास में पानी है।
I live across the River
मैं नदी के पार रहता हूँ।
2. Compound preposition
those preposition who formed by prefixing the prepration to a noun,adjective,or adverb.

A phrase preposition is a group of words consisting of a preposition, its object, and any words that modify the objects.

etc.
